Abstract:
It is well known that Ludwig van Beethoven was a recognized and talented composer. But he was above all a man, with feelings of joy and anger, who was sharing and dissociating. This is what Daniçle Léon’s play shows us: the heart of the man hidden behind apparent hardness. It is the story of the relationship between Beethoven and his society. The story of a man chained to his infirmity like Prometheus to his rock.
